Current CGFOA and GFOA members who are actively working in Government Finance and are interested in enrolling in the CPFO certification program can apply for this grant funding towards their enrollment fee. We typically award 4 annual grants of $1200 each - two in the spring and two in the fall. This funding will cover the $1,200 fee for two years of participation in the CPFO program. It includes ten exam attempts and access to a CPFO Exam Prep product with over twenty recorded seminars. A CPFO grant recipient who does not finish the program within two years will need to pay $600 per year until they pass all of the exams. A candidate is allowed a maximum of five years to complete the program. Applicant must be a CGFOA and a GFOA member. Preference is given to early and mid-career professionals. The application deadline is September 15, 2026.
