Education Programming

Our educational programming includes a robust online program offering over 40 virtual sessions throughout the year. Because our members are spread out through the entire state of Colorado, we keep our annual education programming accessible to everyone by offering these CPE courses online. We are looking for submissions for these sessions which generally last between 1-2 hours. Oftentimes we see sessions last a minimum of 50 minutes with 10 minutes for questions and follow up. Most sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays between 9am-2pm.

CGFOA's annual conferences are opportunities for finance professionals to network, share successes, and learn about best practices, new products and technologies. Our Summer Conference is usually in late July or early August and is a short, 1.5-day conference. Our Annual Fall Conference will be held October 5-8, 2027 in Pueblo, Colorado.

All of the education sessions online or at conferences are offered within these NASBA approved educational tracks:

Audience

Our membership and conference attendees are comprised of individuals from various sectors. We welcome participation from government officials, government finance officers, professionals within government finance, budget and procurement, city clerks, tax auditors, municipalities, state agencies, special districts, school districts, non-profit organizations, private businesses, private industries, and government finance consultants.

Our annual fall conference has become one of the signature events in the state (and even greater mountain region) bringing together all who are engaged in public finance.
