Learn about the Colorado State Board of Accountancy Statutes, Rules, and Regulations. This course will cover the latest changes so you can stay updated. This course, in partnership with the Colorado Society of CPAs, fulfills the Colorado State Board of Accountancy's ethics requirement for active certificate holders. It also fulfills the CR&R requirement that newly licensed certificate holders must meet within six months of licensure.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Familiarize and update participants with the Colorado State Board of Accountancy statutes, rules, and regulations and to apply these bodies of law to practical, everyday experience for a CPA in public, private, and government practices.
  • Review and analyze actual State Board of Accountancy cases in order to learn the complaint, investigative, and legal process of the board, and to enable participants to understand the ramifications of this process.

Instructor: Rosemary Weiss

Rosemary E. Weiss began her career in public  accounting in 1964 with the International CPA firm of Coopers & Lybrand LLP (then Lybrand, Ross Bros. and Montgomery.)  After five years, Ms. Weiss started her own firm, Weiss & Company, where she practiced for 21 years before merging with Coopers & Lybrand LLP in 1990.  In 1997, she retired from public practice.
