This session will highlight common challenges and questions that emerged during the first year of application, including leave tracking and reporting, valuation methodologies, and documentation practices. Through discussion of real-world experiences and lessons learned, participants will gain practical strategies for refining processes, improving consistency, and enhancing efficiency in future reporting cycles.

Presenter: Amanda Karger 

Amanda Karger is a Senior Manager with Plante Moran's Government Accounting Professionals (PMGAP) practice. She brings more than 20 years of experience in governmental finance, including leadership roles with the City of Aurora, Jefferson County Public Schools, the Colorado Department of Revenue, and the Colorado Charter School Institute. Amanda works with governments across Colorado on accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and audit readiness, and is a frequent presenter on governmental accounting topics.
